ThemeForest is a good example. It marks a trend that many bloggers are already trying to imitate, each in their niche. Depending on your specific theme, an internal market may allow your visitors to sell, buy, and exchange products.
It’s not a bad idea. Over time, you can start charging a small commission for these transactions, or for posting the ads.
The opposite of this method is that there is no specific software on the web that allows you to put it into operation, with which you will need to hire a programmer to develop an internal market that you can integrate into your blog.
14. Surveys and paid surveys
Some companies will be willing to pay you for posting a survey on your blog. It all depends on your niche and the audience that your blog has.
15. Sell or rent some pages of your blog
There are many examples, one of them the Million Dollar Wiki. These types of sites sell or rent for a certain amount, some of the internal pages under your domain.
Usually, these are pages with high PageRank or with a lot of traffic so that people who hire them will receive part of that benefit.
We agree that it may still be somewhat complicated to bring this method into a small blog, but it is worth having it written down, to develop it in the future. If I were Darren Rowse, I would do it to donate to NGOs.
16. Featured posts from your sponsors
Techmeme has been the pioneer in this idea, and I do not quite understand why other sites have not yet taken it.
On the left of the screen is the news about technology, while in the sidebar, they have a section called “Techmeme Sponsor Posts.”
There, what they do is highlight posts sent by their advertisers, deriving them qualified traffic. Many blogs with an established audience could try to implement a similar model.
17. Donations
It is not naive to think that there may be people willing to collaborate financially with your blog. That’s why you may find an efficient way to get some extra money by putting a link or button that says, “Make your donation. ”
It is more feasible to succeed in this way if your blog is offering valuable information that is useful for many people.
A similar mechanism was very successful in asking for voluntary contributions, although in this case, it is a WordPress plugin, which said: “Buy me a beer” (buy me a beer).
By taking the subject with grace, some bloggers have had some results generating empathy with their readers, who ended up willing to drop a few euros to reward the blogger.
Now, I work daily with donations. Consider them as a complement of income to monetize a blog, since in no case, they become the core of a business model.
18. In-text ads
In-text ad networks work by placing sponsored links within your text. This service is offered by networks such as Kontera or Vibrant Media, which generate links that will be marked with a double underline that will differentiate them from regular links.
When the user hovers over these links, an ad will be displayed. If you click on them, the blog owner will pocket a few cents.
There are already many people who are expanding their income with this method, while many others are not convinced to implement it, considering that they are very invasive. Most leading sites have not incorporated it. I do not like them either.
19. Pop-ups and Pop-unders (pop-ups)
Pop-ups, known as pop-ups, are widely used (and also very annoying) way of advertising on the Internet. If you only have to increase your income as much as you can, you may have to try this format.
Although, to be honest, if what you propose is to increase your traffic and generate loyal readers, I recommend that you better look for another way to make money with your blog.

- If you produce videos and/or podcasts, you can search for advertisers and put their messages in your multimedia files. Depending on how you do it (Pre-roll, Post-roll, or integrated into the content), advertising will be more or less invasive, and more or less effective.
- If you know something beneficial and you can record a video, but the Internet is not your thing, take a look at Practicopedia, as they will also share with you the Adsense revenue generated by your videos.
21. Sell paper books (not digital)
Some many writers or journalists leverage their blogs or their websites to sell copies of their books in the paper version. Renowned authors usually do so, who transfer their followers to the web in the real world. But the opposite can also happen, for a blogger to gain popularity through his posts, and then decide to compile or enrich them and end up publishing a book.

The web will be useful for you if you are the author of the blog since the articles and information you share with the rest will contribute to give you a reputation and consolidate as an expert, and somehow prove your degree of experience in your subject, what you facilitate access to new customers.
You can implement several models:
- Work by the hour: Put a Paypal button with your hourly rate and some hours. It is done. First, you charge, and then you work
- Bags of hours: how many more hours, more significant discounts. Offers a bag of 20, 40 and 100 hours of work. Put a Paypal button on each bag.
- Tailored by the project: in this case, surely, the project requires more dedication. It is about analyzing customer needs and making an ad-hoc proposal. An actual job of a consulting company.
24. Sell to your mailing list
The Money Is in the List: if you want to sell online, you must have a mailing list. Mailing lists offer conversion levels much higher than any other medium.
Think about encouraging people to subscribe in exchange for a digital gift of unquestionable value, such as an ebook.

25. Sell an Ebook
A true classic, if any. I think it is one of the oldest monetization strategies on the web, which is to use a site or blog to promote an ebook on the subject you like.
I assure you that no matter how old it has ceased to be an effective way to earn money. One example here: Problogger.
26. Online training courses
People are willing to pay for someone to teach them and transmit knowledge (not merely information) on a specific subject.
Not for nothing, education is one of the leading industries in the world, and the thing on the web happens more or less the same way.
That is why it is usually a good business to create an online course in a particular niche. Naturally, you must build a coherent structure and also promote it properly.
In terms of support, there are many tools on the web that you can use to impart information, from simple articles to audio and video lessons. One excellent example here.
27. Organize face-to-face training, seminars or conferences around the theme of your blog
If you manage to make your blog become an authority on a particular subject, a good idea will be to organize some face-to-face courses around that theme. The next step, although it requires more effort and logistics, is the seminar or conference.
Maybe you can gather hundreds of interested people: between entries and sponsors, it can become around the business. Just do not fit in doubt that easy money is not.

28. Sell your blog
You will think it may be the last resort. But still, it is a way of generating income. The ideal site to offer your blog is Flippa, an online asset trading market. You will also find offers in DigitalPoint.
You can determine the price of a website with the monthly income that it generates, multiplying that figure by a number (it could go from 3 to 36), according to the expectations and the negotiating capacity of the seller, the quality of the site, the type of niche, and the evolution in traffic.
And even if you don’t believe it, many people make money buying, improving and selling sites.
They buy existing sites, improve the Look & Feel significant, work them for a while to increase revenue, and then put them on sale, charging a nice Premium on the purchase they have made at the time.

You will never say that there is no way to monetize a blog. Moreover, there are more ways to do it, such as widget monetization, advertising revenue on mobile devices, selling your podcasts on iTunes, etc. The times will tell us how these new online business models evolve.
