How to Solve Your Revenue Issues With PPC Campaigns

broken image

A PPC campaign can be an incredibly useful tool for your sales and marketing strategy for a number of reasons. It’s also a very cost-effective tool for generating new business leads. PPC, or “pay per click”, is a method of advertising with the use of keywords. Basically, you create an ad that pops up when online users search for your keyword. Instead of paying to have the ad hosted, you only pay when a user clicks on the ad, which means that you’re basically only paying for the traffic interested in your content.

Solving revenue issues

If your website isn’t generating the revenue that you expected, then you can actually use a PPC campaign in order to solve your revenue problem. The following are just a few ways that an effective PPC campaign can help build revenue:

  • Test out keywords – One of the issues you may be having is lack of website traffic in order to generate the leads you need to nurture into customers. The less traffic you have, the less chance you have of selling your products or services. This may come down to using keywords that aren’t the most important to your audience. Well, you can find out by setting up different PPC campaigns using different keywords. The PPC campaign that generates the most traffic is most likely using the most effective keywords for your customer and your business.
  • Increasing awareness for promotions – If you have been promoting your products, with a limited time sale or discount, but your revenue isn’t changing during the promotional period, then you can use PPC campaigns in order to increase awareness. Using keywords that you know are searched often, you can invest in a PPC campaign to extend your message. Just make sure that when a user clicks on the ad that it will take them to a landing page where they can take advantage of the promotion. One of the mistakes that some companies make is to lead the user to their homepage, requiring the user to find the promotion on their own.
  • Advertise new products or services – Just like with any sale or promotion, you can use PPC ads to advertise any new products or services that your company has released using those keywords that relate to the new product or service. The ad should lead the user to the new product or service page where they can learn more about it and make a purchase.

Elements of a successful PPC campaign

While a PPC campaign is a great way to solve some of your revenue issues, this is only going to happen if your PPC campaign is effectively executed. The following are a few elements that make up a high quality PPC campaign:

  • Target your audience – Make sure that the ad attracts your brand’s audience, otherwise it won’t be very effective at all. For example, if you’re promoting new business software, then using current teen-based lingo is not going to attract your actual audience.
  • Create a non-cluttered ad – Your PPC ad should be easy to read. This means having a main headline, a clear offer and a clear call to action button that they can click.
  • Create an eye-catching headline – The headline needs to be simple and short in order to sell the main idea of the ad. It should also be large enough so that the user reads it immediately before anything else.
  • Eliminate risk by creating comfort – Make the user feel at ease with clicking on your ad by using words such as certified, guaranteed or no risk.
  • Incite online users to action – Get users to click on the add right away by using action words and phrases such as now, today, immediately and limited time only.

When used properly, a PPC campaign can be a very effective strategy for a number of different things, including helping to solve some of your sales and revenue issues.
